Already bought it. Mentally. Once it's available, I'll commit physically as well.

Haven't decided yet. I'm waiting for the PvE weekend. I like the assassin class, but not enough to buy two copies of the game for myself and my husband. If there's sufficient new PvE content, and guild halls are improved, and we get more character slots, then I'll want it.

to answer main question

yes i will prepurchase as soon as the preorder packages are officially announced.

even if i hated chapter 2 i would get it to show support for Anet and maybe chapter 3 would blow me away.

i have gotten more fun from this game than any 2 prior games anyway

THATS A BIG YES

Yes, I will be buying the game, and the price does not bother me all that much. Anet describes this game as being stand alone, so you dont need to have the previous version in order to enjoy it, you just wont be able to access the lands of tyria...

I'm buying Factions, I hope that the people that buy Factions, aren't in the same world as the people that buy Fractions. Fractions sounds like its a noob math game, Factions is a Guild Wars game...

My friend might actually buy Factions just to have an Assassin. He's stayed away from Guild Wars so far.

If I remember correctly, Factions will have just about the same amount of PvE content as Prophecies. I don't know if they've decided to go a different path, but way back when ArenaNet said that each chapter would contain roughly the same amount of content as the initial release (instead of just adding a new map, or a new profession, it's essentially a 'new' game, except... not. You know what I mean.)

I haven't heard of them deciding that 'expansions' will contain significantly less content.

Yes, I will buy it.

Yes, I will buy it, but I have some questions.

It might cause some problems in guilds. Will the guild list show players who are online in GW1 and GW Factions, or just the game that the member viewing the list is in?
And if you upgrade to a new guild hall that comes with Factions, what for the guild members that didn't buy factions?

YES! definitely. In fact I've been looking round the shops today to see if any pre-order packages are available.... guess that was pointless since they haven't even announced the release date yet I really don't think anyone can justifiably claim it's overpriced. Go and play any subscription-based online RPG, and you will see how for £10 a month or however much it costs (more in many cases!) you get a level of support that is FAR inferior to what we get from ANET.

I agree, check out blizzards support, you will see the crap you get from them. Just try to get on a full server that you been on since day one and see if you can get on during peak times. I gave up on wow because of the 30 to 45 minute que times to get into the game. All they can tell me is to sign on earlier...

There is no doubt whatsoever that I'll be purchasing Factions (3 copies, one for me, one each for my kids). It's a Day One done deal.

Yes, so what if it's $50. It's free online and only $50 a year to play it, assuming they will release new chapters every year.

GAILE said at Lions Arch that after chapter 2 we can expect chapter 3 in 06 as well

Yup going to buy it, try shopping around.

For us in england it's released as a cheaper game which has probably helped a lot getting people to buy it.

PvP weekend held no interest for me, but i look forward to the PvE side of the game.
